BBI Stakeholder Forum 2017

Biobased Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU), the partnership between the EU and the Bio-based Industries Consortium, will be holding their first Stakeholder Forum on Thursday 7 December in Brussels.
The Stakeholder Forum 2017 is a one-day public event dedicated to engaging directly in dialogue with BBI JU’s stakeholders. Goal of the event is to exchange opinions on the opportunities and obstacles for moving bio-based industries forward.

During the Stakeholder Forum, attendants are informed on the BBI JU initiative and are able to meet 65 ongoing BBI and other bioeconomy projects who will be exhibiting their projects throughout the event in the 'project exhibition'.
BioLinX is one of the projects presenting itself during the event. We will be informing participating bioeconomy projects and SME on our extensive array of services.

BioLinX will be presenting itself during the continuous project exhibition, along with over 60 other European bioeconomy projects and cooperation initiatives. 

Plenary sessions and keynote speeches
The event will include plenary sessions with keynote speeches, interactive discussions with high-level expert panels, and thematic breakout sessions. .
In the plenary sessions, key contributors and thought leaders will present their views on, for instance,  the roadmap for a bio-based Europe, the strategic context of the BBI initiative and its achievements so far and some lessons learned.

Thematic workshop sessions
Workshop sessions around 4 different themes will provide the chance for participants to contribute their views on the way forward in the following areas:

  • The role of the primary sector in building bio-based industries

  • Industrial innovation - defining the direction for science-based innovation

  • The value for Europe’s citizens – aligning economic & societal expectations & needs

  • New markets, new sectors, new products
